The Debut of the 2027 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport and Grand Sport X

Chevrolet is bringing back a legend with the 2027 Corvette Grand Sport. The brand is also adding the Grand Sport X. Powering the two sports cars is a next-generation V8 engine with more torque than any before. These models are sure to appeal to a new generation of sports car enthusiasts.
Evolution of a Legend
The Grand Sport was in its height of glory in the 1960s as it competed on major tracks. These Corvette models were designed for the track and had a fast look and even faster performance. Today’s models have been developed with the best of the design elements of the eighth-generation Corvette. You can see it at first glance with a wide stance and a cockpit that focuses on the driver.
Today’s model offers the choice between a hardtop convertible and a coupe with a removable roof. Magnetic Ride Control is standard while Performance Traction Management is an option for the Grand Sport models.
The Heart of the Grand Sport
Under the hood of the Grand Sport and Grand Sport X is an LS6 6.7L V8, which also powers the Corvette Stingray. This engine produces 535 horsepower and 520 lb.-ft of torque and has a larger displacement. High-velocity parts move extra air, which produces more power.
The lubrication system is new while the exhaust manifolds have been revised. The result is improved durability in high-temperature situations. The engine is paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
You can add the Z52 Sport Performance Package, which includes a stiffer suspension, high-performance iron brakes, and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S summer tires. The Z52 Track Performance Package features carbon-ceramic J57 brakes with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tires. This package includes chassis tuning with a focus on the track, rockers and wing, dive planes, and much more.
The Grand Sport X
The Corvette Grand Sport X includes all that inspires with the Grand Sport plus all-wheel drive. You also get a jaw-dropping 721 horsepower with a front-axle electric motor to develop an exceptional eAWD Corvette. Intelligent controls ensure this model takes corners with confidence while providing the agility of a rear-wheel drive sports car.
This model offers three strategies to use power, starting with Endurance to provide consistent output and extended lapping. Qualifying gives you optimum power with Push-to-Pass providing maximum power on-demand. For the X model, Michelin Pilot Sport All-Season 4 tires and carbon-ceramic brakes are standard. Switch to Stealth mode when you need to be quiet while Shuttle mode is designed for use off the street up to 23 mph.
Retro Meets Modern
Hash marks that have been seen on the front fenders of various previous models have moved to the rear of the vehicle. The color, Admiral Blue Metallic, has been brought back from the archives. This color includes a white center stripe with a red hash.
A Launch Edition will be launched with a Santorini Blue-Dipped cabin, including red stitching. Red accents contrast the leather-wrapped hood over the driver information center.
To learn more about these models and when they will be available, you can talk to the sales team at Premier Chevrolet of Buena Park. Also, check out the other Chevy Corvette models and take one for a test drive. If you live near Anaheim, Cypress, or Fullerton, you can visit our dealership to find your next new vehicle.
